The program will focus on the first 2 of the 8 limbs of yoga – the Yamas and the Niyamas. These words in Sanskrit translate to “restraints” and “observances”, respectively, and are guidelines for living a balanced and healthy life.

The physical yoga that we practice in the studio, yoga asana, is the 3rd limb of yoga. And while the physical practice is important, the Yamas and the Niyamas are the foundation for how we live our daily lives - a sophisticated design for living that truly works.

Through the exploration of the Yamas and the Niyamas you will experience a new sense of purpose and freedom in your daily life, your habits, and in your relationships with your Self and others.

This program will help you:

The 6 week Mind, Body, and Spirit journey will be a combination of:

  • Consistent yoga practice

  • Weekly reading and journaling

  • Carefully observing your engrained habits and default ways of being

Leaders:

This program will be led by Sara Page and Cheryl in Metuchen and by Rarita Quinn and Leslie Miller in Cranford in conjunction with one of our absolute favorite books: The Yamas and Niyamas – Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practice, by Deborah Adele.

Program Dates:
In person meetings at BOTH studios on Saturdays from 12-1pm for six weeks.
January 11th | January 18th | January 25th | February 1st | February 8th | February 15th

Details:

  • In person meetings at both studios

  • 6 weeks of unlimited yoga at both HYR locations, livestream, and on-demand classes

  • We suggest that participants take at least 4 yoga classes per week (in-studio or streaming from home)

  • Observance of your daily habits and patterns by which you live your life

  • Program Workbook

  • Weekly accountability check-ins in a small group environment

Cost:

  • Members (Annual & Monthly auto-pay clients): $99

  • Program + Yoga Bundles:

    • In-Studio practitioners: $299 total ($99 - program, $200 - 6 weeks of In-Studio/Livestream/On-Demand yoga)

    • Digital only practitioners: $175 total ($99 - program, $76 - 6 weeks of Livestream/On-Demand yoga)
